Day 01- Calicut (Kozhikode )
Arrival at Calicut Airport and transfer to Hotel. Later in afternoon, proceed for local sightseeing in and around Calicut - the traditional capital of Northern Kerala under the Samuthiri rule. The sightseeing attractions in this legendary city include Calicut Beach, Thali Temple, Kappad Beach, Pazhassiraja Museum and Beypore Beach. Overnight stay in Calicut.
Day 02 - WAYNAD
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Wayanad, on arrival check into the hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Wayanad is one of the districts in Kerala -set at an altitude of 700 - 2100 m above sea level that has been able to retain its pristine nature. The fast-flowing rivers - Panamaram, Mananthavady and Kabini add to the beauty of this region. Overnight stay in Wayanad hotel.
Day 03- WAYNAD
Morning breakfast, then proceed for for visit to the Kuruva Islands. It is a 950-acre protected river delta on the Kabini River.This island of dense and evergreen forest is uninhabited and hence a home to rare kinds of flora and fauna: uncommon species of birds, orchids and herbs . Its an experience in itself which brings to the Wild life nature of wayanad. Evening back to the hotel for Overnight stay .
Day 04- WAYNAD
Enjoy breakfast, then proceed for further sightseeings like Banasura dam, Sochipara waterfalls & Meenmutty. The Banasura Sagar dam is the largest earthen dam in India which impounds the waters of the Karamanathodu- a tributary of the Kabini river. Soochipara Falls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is a three-tiered waterfall in Vellarimala, Wayanad, surrounded by Deciduous, Evergreen and Montane forests. Cascading down in three stages from a height of about 300 meters, Meenmutty, which takes a 2 km trek to reach, is the biggest waterfall in Wayanad both in terms of volume and height. Evening back to the hotel for Overnight stay .
Day 05- WAYNAD
After having breakfast, proceed for visit to the Edakkal caves. It is a dwelling that showcases nature’s skill and philosophy on architecture and you have to trek to about 4000 ft up a mountain to reach the place. The trek up the hill, peppered with coffee plantations takes almost 45 minutes to climb the hill, but worthwhile. The lush greenery and scenic landscape around and the cool breeze that carries the aroma of coffee will surely make your journey an unforgettable one. Evening back to the hotel for Overnight stay .
Day 06- WAYNAD
After breakfast ,proceed for visit to the Muthanga Wild Life sanctuary. It is considered to be the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala. Its blessed with semi-evergreen, moist and dry deciduous forests. You can sight here maruthi, karimaruthi, rosewood, venteak, vengal etc. The sight of wild animal like elephant, tiger, panthers, jungle cats, civet cats, monkeys, wild dogs etc..is most wonderful. The sanctuary has also an endless population of birds like peacocks, babblers, cuckoos, owls, woodpeckers, jungle fowls etc. Evening back to hotel for Overnight stay .
Day 07- WAYNAD
After breakfast , check out from hotel for transfers to Calicut. Enroute you can visit Lakkidi, which is one of the highest locations in Wayanad. . Chain tree (huge Ficus tree that draws attention) and the Pookot Lake( natural fresh water lake) are just within 5 km from Lakkidi which all are worth seeing attractions of Wayanad. Further, drop at Calicut airport for departure transfers to your home town.
